Meeting Minutes

St. Francis Youth Baseball Association

Monday, April 5th, 2010 

Board Members: Luke Scardigli, Kevin Kulsrud, Scott Weidt, Nancy Nelson, Troy Carlberg, Jasen Wald, Scott Benson, and Kevin McKinney. 

Others: Brian Julson (Home Run Club). 

HRC Updates

·         Getting ready for youth tryouts. Evaluations have been modified slightly:
o    Hitting
o    Infield
o    Outfield
o    Throwing
o    Pitching
o    Running? 

Tryout Numbers/Teams

·         10U (22) and 9U (21) = 10A, 10B, and 9U teams

·         11U (38) = 11A and two 11B equal teams

·         12U (28) = 12A and 12B teams

·         13U (22) = 13A and 13B teams

·         14U (25) = 14A and 14B teams

·         Walkups – No walkups allowed with the exception of 13U due to low numbers but we don’t anticipate any..

Plans

·         Luke to send out reminders to the different age groups.

·         Luke to double check with Laura on the numbers and information packets

·         We should plan on being there by 8:00 a.m.

·         Tryouts (4/10 – Outside weather permitting)

o    10U – 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (8yr, 9yr, and 10yr)

o    12U – 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (11yr and 12yr)

o    14U – 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (13yr and 14yr)

·         We will need to have teams posted by Monday

·         Age coordinators to contact player who get cut to have the contact SAA asap

·         Scott W to turn around clothing form and check deposit asap

·         Scheduling meeting April 17^th

·         Umpires and cities will need to be notified quickly with game schedules

·         Parents Night – April 19^th still waiting confirmation from the high school 

Evaluator Gifts

We are working with Brian on putting ~$50 towards shoes for their efforts.
